Research Interests

Using a novel murine of allergic airways disease I am currently studying

  1. the role of the early neonatal environment on the development of allergic diseases,
  2. the genotype phenotype relationships in allergy and
  3. the effects of STAT 6 inhibitory peptides in prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.

Introducing Peanuts Earlier to Reduce Allergy Risk 

Dr. Christine McCusker was part of the research team that discovered introducing peanuts into a child’s diet before the age of three is an effective strategy to reduce the risk of peanut allergy.
